As a child raised on Star Trek, I also faced some of the internal conflicts you mentioned above. Although I actually approved of the Kirk/Spock switch in that last death scene. I thought it was a decent trade-off in their attempts so establish the differences in this new Star Trek universe ((undoubtedly so people like you and I will cease to compare them... ::snickergiggles:: Like that will -ever- happen...)).
Interestingly enough, I found this blog by following links on your old Harry/Draco fanfics. Though I have yet to look around, I was so pleased to read that you were really moving forward with professional writing. I very much enjoyed your H/D fanfiction.
